I am partnering with a respected, long-established property and construction consultancy to identify an outstanding Director of Building Surveying to lead and grow their Cardiff operation. This is a senior leadership role within a business known for its technical excellence, commercial insight and strong professional culture.

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will take full responsibility for leading a high-performing Building Surveying team, driving regional growth and delivering high-quality consultancy services across the commercial property sector. Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, direction and mentoring to a growing Building Surveying team.
• Lead service delivery across core building surveying functions including technical due diligence, dilapidations, contract administration, surveys and project-related advisory work.
• Develop strong senior-level client relationships and act as a trusted advisor across the region.
• Drive business development and identify opportunities for expanding the service offering.
• Ensure high standards of quality, technical delivery and client satisfaction.
• Work closely with other regional and national leaders to align with wider business strategy.
• Oversee operational performance, resource planning and financial targets.

About You

• MRICS Chartered Building Surveyor with extensive consultancy experience.
• Proven leadership capability at Director, Associate Director or Head-of-Team level.
• Strong commercial and client-facing skills with a track record of winning and delivering work.
• Excellent technical knowledge across a broad range of building surveying services.
• Confident, strategic and collaborative with a proactive approach to growth and development.
• Able to inspire and motivate teams while embedding high standards of performance.
