My client offers one of the most rewarding bonus structures in the industry and is currently looking for an Associate Building Surveyor to join either their London or Surrey office.

We are currently working with a well-established and highly regarded multi-disciplinary property consultancy that is looking to appoint a Senior Associate Building Surveyor to support the continued growth of its Building Consultancy division, with a particular focus on the Surrey market.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced MRICS Building Surveyor who is looking for greater responsibility, strong earning potential and the opportunity to play a key role in the continued development of a regional Building Consultancy team.

The Role

Working closely with the Regional Partner and wider Building Consultancy team, you will be responsible for delivering a broad range of building surveying instructions across commercial and residential property.

The role will involve a combination of professional and project-based work, with the opportunity to develop existing client relationships while also contributing to the growth of the wider business.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Building surveys and pre-acquisition advice
• Technical due diligence and condition surveys
• Dilapidations and schedules of condition
• Contract administration and project management
• Planned maintenance and refurbishment programmes
• Defect diagnosis and technical advice
• Reinstatement cost assessments
• Development monitoring
• Party wall matters
• Feasibility studies and refurbishment advice
• Preparation and review of technical reports
• Providing high-quality professional advice to a varied client base
• Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
• Supporting the Regional Partner with business development and growth across Surrey and the wider South East

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to take ownership of their own instructions and client relationships, while also contributing to the strategic growth of the Building Consultancy division.

About You

We are keen to hear from MRICS Building Surveyors operating at Senior Surveyor, Senior Associate or Associate level who are looking for their next career move.

You will ideally have:

• MRICS qualification
• Strong commercial Building Surveying experience
• Experience across a range of professional and project-based instructions
• Excellent technical and report-writing skills
• Strong client-facing and communication abilities
• A commercially minded approach
• The ability to manage your own workload and instructions
• An interest in business development and developing client relationships
• The ambition to progress your career within a growing consultancy

We would also be interested in speaking with newly qualified Chartered Surveyors with strong relevant experience who are looking to take the next step in their career.
