Associate Project Manager

Central London | £85,000 - £90,000 + Exceptional Benefits & Bonus

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Associate Project Manager to join one of London's most respected independent property and construction consultancies.

The business has built an enviable reputation through exceptional client service, commercial thinking and consistently delivering high-quality outcomes. Growth has been deliberate and sustainable, driven by long-standing client relationships, repeat business and a genuinely talented team.

As Associate Project Manager, you'll work directly alongside one of the firm's leading Partners. A grounded, entrepreneurial and highly respected leader, they are known for providing pragmatic advice, understanding what clients genuinely need and delivering honest, commercially focused solutions. This role has been created to become their trusted second-in-command, helping shape the future growth of the team.

You'll enjoy significant autonomy, direct client exposure and the opportunity to influence both projects and the wider business.

The role

This is far more than traditional project management.

You'll become a trusted adviser to clients, overseeing complex programmes, strengthening project governance and ensuring projects are delivered with clarity, confidence and control.

Alongside managing key commissions, you'll provide leadership across the team, mentoring project managers, driving best practice and helping develop the consultancy's project management capability.

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Leading the delivery of complex construction and property projects across multiple sectors.
  • Providing programme management and project management office (PMO) support for major client portfolios.
  • Acting as a strategic adviser to clients, building trusted long-term relationships.
  • Supporting the Partner in managing clients, commissions and team performance.
  • Mentoring and developing project managers across the business.
  • Driving quality, consistency and continual improvement in project delivery.
  • Identifying opportunities to grow existing client relationships and win new business.

About you

You'll already be operating at Senior Project Manager or Associate level within a consultancy environment and enjoy the advisory side of project management just as much as delivery.

You'll bring:

  • Consultancy project management experience within the built environment.
  • Strong programme management and PMO experience.
  • Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
  • A commercial, pragmatic approach to solving complex challenges.
  • Experience mentoring, leading or developing teams.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • A relevant construction or property qualification, ideally with chartered status (MRICS, MCIOB, MAPM or similar).

Why join?

This is a consultancy that genuinely looks after its people.

They've created an environment where talented professionals can thrive, collaborate and enjoy coming to work. The culture is ambitious without being corporate, high-performing without unnecessary hierarchy, and supportive at every level.

In return you'll receive:

  • Salary circa £85,000 - £90,000.
  • Above-market bonus and wider compensation package.
  • Extensive employee benefits well beyond the market norm.
  • Clear progression towards senior leadership.
  • The opportunity to work alongside one of the industry's most respected Partners.
  • A collaborative, sociable and genuinely enjoyable working environment.
  • Modern Central London office with flexible working.

If you're looking for a role where you can become a genuine adviser to clients, lead an exceptional team and help shape the next chapter of a growing consultancy, we'd love to hear from you.
