Key Responsibilities:
Act as the lead QS on multiple projects, ensuring successful delivery and high levels of client satisfaction.
Chair client meetings and manage multi-disciplinary project teams.
Deliver strategic cost advice across all RIBA stages, from feasibility through to final account.
Facilitate value engineering workshops and align designs to budgets.
Provide insights on the cost implications of design decisions, materials, and construction methods.
Oversee detailed measurement, tendering, evaluation, and robust commercial reporting.
Prepare comprehensive tender and contract documents and lead cost control throughout the construction phase.
Manage change control, resolve disputes, and handle post-contract variations.
Produce detailed monthly cost reports and ensure quality assurance compliance.
Lead cost research, market testing, and data benchmarking initiatives.
Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors to support business development.
Promote innovation using digital tools, cost modelling, and technology adoption.
Mentor junior staff and support team resource planning.
What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for a driven, strategic thinker with a passion for delivering excellence in cost management.
Substantial experience in a consultancy environment, with a proven track record in both pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying.
RICS accredited degree or equivalent qualification.
Ideally MRICS or currently working towards chartership.
Proficient with JCT suite of contracts.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and QS software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam).
UK driving licence holder.
Broad sector and project experience.
Confident communicator with strong client-facing skills.
Commercially astute and highly organised.
Skilled negotiator and report writer.
Proactive, solutions-focused, and forward-thinking.
