Senior Chartered Building Surveyor Location : Guildford, Surrey

Carriera is proud to partner with a top-50 UK property consultancy as they look to appoint an accomplished Senior Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS) to join their thriving Guildford office.

This firm is renowned for delivering high-level building consultancy and property management advice to an impressive national client base. Their portfolio spans institutional investors, pension funds, insurers and major property managers, reflecting both the scale and quality of their work. Continued growth across the region has created the need to strengthen the team with a senior professional who can contribute immediately.

The Opportunity

You will take a lead role in delivering the full spectrum of building surveying services across commercial assets, including office, industrial and retail properties.

Workload is balanced across project and professional instructions, and you will:

• Act as Contract Administrator on refurbishment and development schemes typically up to £10m.
• Provide expert professional advice covering dilapidations, technical due diligence, defect diagnosis and pre-acquisition surveys.
• Managing key client relationships.

This position offers genuine autonomy, visibility and the chance to help shape a well-established regional team.

About You

You will be:

• MRICS qualified, ideally with experience in a consultancy or private practice environment.
• Confident leading instructions from inception through to delivery.
• A strong communicator who works well collaboratively but can also operate independently.
• Ambitious, client-focused and motivated to progress within a growing office.
