This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor to join a highly respected consultancy delivering a broad range of professional and project-led surveying services across the commercial property sector.

The business has an outstanding reputation within the market and works across a diverse portfolio including commercial offices, industrial/logistics, hospitality, retail, education and mixed-use developments. Their workload ranges from professional advisory instructions through to large-scale refurbishment and redevelopment projects.

The role offers exposure to both traditional building surveying and project management services, working closely with experienced senior professionals within a collaborative and technically strong environment.

The Role

The successful candidate will be involved in a varied workload across both professional and project-led instructions, including:

• Contract administration and project management duties
• Refurbishment and redevelopment projects across commercial assets
• Dilapidations inspections, negotiations and advisory work
• Party wall matters and neighbourly issues
• Building pathology and defect diagnosis
• Technical due diligence and condition surveys
• Preparation of specifications, schedules of work and tender documentation
• Employer’s agent responsibilities
• Client liaison and stakeholder management throughout project delivery

Projects vary significantly in scale and complexity, offering excellent exposure across multiple sectors and building types.

About You

• MRICS qualified Building Surveyor
• Strong background within commercial building surveying
• Experience delivering both professional services and project work
• Confident client-facing communicator with strong technical reporting skills
• Ability to manage projects independently and work collaboratively within a wider team
• Commercially minded with a proactive and professional approach

• Salary up to £65,000 depending on experience
