Carriera is delighted to be working with a growing specialist consultancy to appoint two Building Regulations Principal Designers. This is a predominantly home-based position, offering the flexibility to work remotely with only occasional travel for team meetings, client visits and project collaboration.
The consultancy has built an excellent reputation for delivering pragmatic Building Safety Act and Principal Designer services across a diverse range of projects. With an experienced team spread throughout the UK, they offer a collaborative environment where you'll have the autonomy to manage your workload while remaining connected through regular touchpoints with colleagues.
As a Building Regulations Principal Designer, you'll support clients throughout the design and pre-construction phases, helping project teams meet their duties under the Building Safety Act while promoting effective design coordination and compliance.
Working alongside architects, developers and consultants, you'll provide practical guidance on regulatory requirements, contribute to design reviews and support the successful delivery of projects across multiple sectors.
The consultancy is keen to speak with professionals who have experience in Building Regulations, Building Control or Building Safety. You'll ideally have experience delivering BR Principal Designer services, although those with a strong Building Control background looking to transition into consultancy are equally encouraged to apply.
Professional memberships or qualifications such as CABE, RICS, RIBA, CIOB, MIFireE or relevant structural engineering qualifications would be advantageous but are by no means essential.
Most importantly, you'll be a confident communicator who enjoys working collaboratively while being comfortable managing your own diary in a largely remote environment.
Applications are welcomed from candidates across the South East, South West and Midlands, although other locations will be considered for the right individual.
For a confidential discussion, contact Alex Harcombe at Carriera.
Carriera Limited values diversity and promotes equality. We welcome applications from all suitably qualified individuals and are happy to discuss any reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process. Applicants must have the right to live and work in the UK.
