The role can be based from any UK office with regular site-based fire risk assessment work across residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.

 

Key Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of high-quality fire risk assessments across a wide range of premises.

Plan and coordinate inspection programmes in collaboration with clients.

Provide clear, practical fire safety advice and guidance on Building Regulations compliance.

Support remedial works through to completion, ensuring quality and standards.

Review and authorise Fire Risk Assessments before submission.

Mentor other assessors and contribute to internal audits to maintain professional standards.

 

Essential Requirements

  • Level 4 qualification in fire risk management or Level 5 in fire risk assessment or fire engineering
  • IFE-approved Fire Risk Assessment qualification
  • Registration on a recognised Fire Risk Assessor register via IFE, FRACS, or IFSM (Tier 3 minimum)
  • Experience acting as a Validator under the BAFE SP205 1 scheme
  • Proven experience carrying out fire risk assessments across a variety of premises
  • Knowledge of fire safety legislation, including the Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order, and recognised best practice
  • Full UK driving licence
