We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established and growing cost management team based in Manchester. This is a brilliant opportunity for an ambitious QS to play a key role in delivering high-value, technically complex projects for world-class clients across a diverse range of sectors.

You’ll be part of a dynamic and collaborative team environment, encouraged to lead, innovate, and grow — with clear pathways for development both within the Manchester office and across the wider national business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead full cost management services from project inception through to completion.

• Manage multiple complex projects, ensuring delivery excellence for key clients.

• Support and mentor junior team members, helping to shape the next generation of QS talent.

• Produce high-level feasibility studies, cost estimates, and detailed cost plans at all design stages.

• Prepare and manage tender documentation, analyse tender returns, and advise on procurement strategies.

• Provide sound contract advice and oversee post-contract administration, variation management, and final account settlements.

• Attend client and project meetings, providing timely and accurate cost reporting.

• Build and sustain trusted relationships with clients, consultants, and delivery partners.

• Contribute to wider business planning and support in securing repeat and new business opportunities.

What we’re looking for

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar RICS-accredited discipline.

• MRICS qualified.

• Proven experience in technically complex projects across relevant sectors.

• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.

• Excellent communication and client-facing ability.

• Organised, diligent, and adaptable with strong team leadership skills.
