Our client are a UK wide multi-disciplinary consultancy encompassing disciplines such as Building Surveying, Project management, Architecture, Town Planning and many more. They are looking to expand their building surveying capacity in the East Midlands through increasing the capacity of the Leicester office. Joining now would position you at the centre of a growing team offering brilliant opportunities for progression and growth.

The Leicester based building surveying team lean heavily on professional services and operate largely within the education and housing sectors.

As a Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting surveys and inspections of buildings, identifying and diagnosing defects and recommending solutions
  • Preparing reports on building condition, compliance, and maintenance requirements
  • Providing advice and guidance to clients on building regulations and legislation
  • Preparing and reviewing specifications and designs for building works
  • Managing projects, including contract administration and cost management

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A degree in Building Surveying or related field
  • Experience within dilapidations, contract administration, project management and party wall management is a plus.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in building surveying
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience in building design, construction, and maintenance
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software
