Carriera have been retained to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a client focused team based in Weybridge. This is an exciting opportunity for a high calibre individual to join and strengthen our Quantity Surveying team and help to deliver a top-class service for an important client. The assistant quantity surveyor must have at least 18 months of experience working within a similar environment.

About the role:

As an assistant quantity surveyor, you will be an integral part of a team that is accountable for the commercial and financial performance on a variety of exciting projects ranging up to £20m in value as part of a major programme of works; you will be an asset within the Weybridge site.

Your key responsibilities will include supporting business objectives of delivering value for money in all circumstances. Most importantly, you will be taking personal responsibility for complying with Environmental, Health, Safety, Security and Quality Standards. Another key responsibility will be complying with established commercial and contractual strategies.

You will also be carrying out assigned duties efficiently and in accordance with processes and procedures, preparing indicative cost budgets, cost plans and appraisals. You will also be producing cost reports and cost forecasting.

About you: 

You will already have obtained a degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar technical discipline. In regards to your core skills and characteristic will be someone who is a team player, an outgoing individual, adaptable, enthusiastic and someone who is very much ambitious. Must have a strong experience in feasibility and cost planning.

You’ll also need to have a desire to become MRICS and have the ability to successfully manage complex projects in a proactive and diligent manner. You as an individual will need to be able to build long term relationships and have a track record of working with teams, managing projects by prioritising workloads and delivering on all deadlines.
