Job Title: SHEQ Advisor - Property Services

Salary: Up to £50,000 + car allowance (£5,500) and excellent benefits package

Our client is experiencing rapid growth, with a projected turnover of £1 billion over the next five years. They are committed to improving the H&S across all sectors of their business, they are seeking a SHEQ Advisor to positively shape their safety and risk management culture.

The business operates across the South East with projects scattered across London, Essex, Surrey, Kent and the surrounding areas. The role would suit an ambitious and pro-active safety professional who is looking for the next step in their career and to join a main contractor during an exciting period of growth.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular risk assessments and implement enhanced procedures when required.
• Provide expert SHEQ advice to colleagues and subcontractors.
• Ensure contract compliance and promote positive behaviours within our operational teams.
• Communicate & promote a positive SHEQ ethos and culture across the business.
• Promote and deliver the company SHEQ strategy.
• Guide and advice projects on the implementation of business management system, policies, and procedures.
• Carry out site investigations for accident and incident on projects.
• Lead and support the continuous improvement of SHEQ performance.
• Support line manager and wider team in the delivery of agreed strategy and action plans.
• Ensure CDM compliance across projects.

Requirements:

• Hold a NEBOSH General or Construction certificate.
• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (desirable but not essential).
• Primarily a site based role - previous Health, Safety & Environmental experience in the social housing sector, particularly in planned and reactive repairs & maintenance and construction.
• Membership to IOSH, IIRSM, or APS (desirable).
• Strong understanding of the construction industry and relevant experience within it.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
• Credible and confident, able to deliver work in an intelligent, collaborative, and enthusiastic manner.
• Self-motivated and driven, with the ability to meet deadlines and produce detailed reports.
