Associate Building Surveyor

A significant opportunity for an experienced senior building surveyor has been created with a well-regarded Property Consultancy’s Fleet Office:

About the company:

Our client provides professional services throughout the private sector, these services include and are not limited to agency, consultancy, management and professional services. The opportunity is within the building consultancy unit, which carries out building surveying, cdmc, health & safety and project surveying services. They work through commercial, residential, retail and leisure sectors. Clients range from charities, developers, institutions, occupiers and private clients.

The partnership employs in excess of 100 staff through its office network; they have a well-established and high performing building surveying division, which employs three partners, three associates, six chartered surveyors and a number of graduates. This vacancy has been created due to an intensifying workload and a very strong order book.

About the Position:

-       Service the Area between the M3, A4 corridor

-       Look after a workload provided by the consultancy’s sister business helping to support the commercial, office, and retail side of the business

-       Take control, of the service line, building on of your own, and build a team underneath you to support the workload.

About you:

We are looking to secure a Senior Building Surveyor who will progress to Associate or an Associate Building Surveyor, this individual will have a diverse sector exposure, as well as be rounded at project and professional duties. Typical workload will include contract administration, on projects up to £1 million, building surveys, party wall notices and awards, construction monitoring, health & safety, planning permissions, feasibility studies, pre-acquisition surveys, technical due diligence and dilapidations. You will work with internal clients such as the property management teams (commercial and residential) and external clients with in the for mentioned sectors. You will be a qualified building surveyor, have strong client exposure, taking schemes from initial briefing through delivery and handing over the finished piece of work, mentoring, managing and developing team members along the way
