Carriera is excited to be working with an award winning Health & Safety/ CAD practice which is based in Leicester. Our client is are looking for a CAD technician with a minimum of 4 years experience and primarily, to provide drawings of building structures and building materials, we would also require someone with a suitable qualification, such as a HNC in building studies or equivalent.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious CAD Technician or a Senior CAD Techinician to join a forward thinking independent consultancy. Our client offers a hybrid working environment, with expectations that you are in the office 3 days per week to collaborate with the team.

We would also consider H&S professionals with an excellent understanding of CDM regulations who are employed by Principal Contractors but looking to move into the world of consultancy, we are looking for people who want to join our diverse team and make a real difference, enhancing the business with their expertise.

Key Attributes and Skills

• Produce drawings for building structures in all structural materials including steel, concrete, masonry and timber as well as sub structure
• Liaise with the project team, clients, architects and sub contractors in all drawing matters
• Have a suitable qualification such as a HNC in building studies or equivalent
• A minimum of 4 years' experience
• Experience in detailing reinforced concrete (advantageous but not essential)
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to manage your own workload to meet client requirements and project timeframes
• Confidently represent the company at meetings
