Senior Building Surveyor

A UK wide construction and engineering consultancy is looking to grow their London Building Surveying team with the addition of a Senior Building Surveyor. The division boasts over 35 Building Surveyors in their London and South-East team.

The department is going from strength to strength and due to continued success an opportunity in the building consultancy team has arisen. The role has excellent prospects for an individual who has a strong ambition to progress and enjoys working collaboratively within a vibrant team. You the successfully Senior Building Surveyor will benefit from working on a diverse pipeline of projects across the retail, healthcare, commercial property, residential and education sectors.  

• Working across several projects in different sectors and being able to provide a range of building surveying duties.
• Undertaking feasibility studies, producing specifications, obtaining estimates, obtaining statutory approvals and administering contracts for refurbishment projects.
• The use and application of standard forms of building contract, such as JCT and NEC.
• Knowledge of building surveying professional services.
• Mentoring and training the junior Building Surveyors in the APC programme.
• Supporting the senior managers in their day-to-day activities.
• Line management of junior Building Surveyors.
• Carry out surveys, inspections, schedules, provide professional services and the management of schemes in the South West East Region.
• Assisting in the development of fee proposals and contributing to bids.

Senior Building Surveyor

• BSc in Building Surveying
• MRICS qualified
• Excellent verbal and communication skills
• Proven technical knowledge
• Strong client engagement experience
• Mentoring and training experience
• Experience of managing workload and projects
• Keen eye for detail
