Location: Croydon - projects across London & South East

Salary: Up to £45,000 - £50,000 + excellent benefits package

Carriera is excited to partner with a boutique Health & Safety Consultancy who operate within the built environment across London and the South East. Due to growth over the last 12 months, the business is now in the position to hire a Health & Safety Advisor/ Manager to join their team out of their offices in Croydon.

Our client oversees a diverse portfolio of projects in the construction sector (commercial, residential, education, retail, office, leisure, industrial) offering as variety of H&S services. They typically work with Principal Contractors and SME's throughout the region and the successful candidate will be expected to travel to various projects and sites on a regular basis to carry out audits, inspections etc.

The organisation is ideally looking for a well-rounded H&S professional who has experience of delivering a H&S/ CDM service within the construction sector. This role would be split 50% delivery on projects and 50% managerial of a small team of H&S professionals, this is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to take the next step in their career and develop managerial skills.

Responsibilities

• Offer a variety of health & safety services to our diverse client book of sub and principal contractors. 
• Carryout site safety inspections and site safety audits.
• Ensure that all sites are CDM compliant, and the relevant documentation is in place and in date. 
• Compile Pre-Construction Information, Construction Phase Plans & manage the H&S File.
• Demonstrate a good knowledge of H&S and CDM legislation.
• Reviewing risk assessments and method statements.
• Complete accident investigations. 
• Manage a small team of H&S professionals.
• Develop new and existing client relationships.

 About you

• NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate.
• Construction experience health and safety or otherwise.
• Membership to IOSH or APS.
• 1 - 2 years working as a H&S/ CDM Consultant within the construction sector.
• Good knowledge of 2015 CDM Regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Full UK Driving License.
