Role: Health and Safety Consultant

Location: Chesterfield, Derbyshire

Duration: 6 - 9 months (with the possibility of an extension)

Carriera is working with a leading property and construction consultancy which has been established for over 20 years and operates out of offices in Liverpool and Manchester. They are currently recruiting for an experienced H&S Consultant to join the team on a 6 - 9 month fixed term contract for a project that they have based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.

The successful candidate will be working as a H&S Consultant for a Transportation and Logistics project offering a range of H&S services. Our client is ideally looking to hire someone from a consultancy or contractor background who has hands on experience in this arena and has previously worked on large scale construction schemes carrying out site audits, inspections, risk assessments etc.

Responsibilities:

• Offer a variety of health & safety services on the project.
• Review construction phase plans and maintain pre-construction information.
• Liaise with various stakeholders and client teams.
• Ensure all RAMS are in place on projects.
• Carryout site safety inspections and site safety audits

Requirements:

• NEBOSH Construction or equivalent.
• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (desirable).
• Professional membership to IOSH and APS (desirable).
• Excellent knowledge and hands on experience of 2015 CDM Regulations including all associated documentation.
• Have worked in the property & construction sector for the last 2 - 3 years in a H&S capacity.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
