Carriera has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and ambitious Health & Safety Consultant to join a medium sized property & construction consultancy based out of our clients Winchester office.
Our client has recently won a 10-year housing project which will lead to the development of over 1200 homes and associated infrastructure in partnership with a local authority.

This is a unique opportunity where you will join an established multi-disciplinary consultancy of construction professionals which offer building surveying, project management, cost management, civil engineering, and H&S services.

Our client has a well-established team of safety professionals based from their London office but requires an independent H&S Consultant to cover the project in Hampshire. The business has plans on developing the H&S services in this region for the department and there would be aspects of business development and client interaction. The position would suit an proactive H&S professional with excellent knowledge of CDM regulations and experience of working in a consultancy setting or client facing role.

Responsibilities:

• Offer a variety of health & safety services to a diverse client base.
• Develop the H&S service offering for clients across Hampshire.
• Liaise closely with members of the H&S, surveying, and project management teams.
• Manage the H&S file from project start through to completion.
• Review construction phase plans.
• Maintain pre-construction information packs for clients.
• Provide a CDM Advisor service to clients.
• Carryout site safety inspections, investigations, and site safety audits.
• Develop new and existing client relationships.

Requirements:

• NEBOSH Construction or equivalent.
• Professional membership to IOSH and APS (desirable).
• Excellent knowledge and hands on experience of 2015 CDM Regulations.
• Able to work independently and on one's own initiative.
• Have worked in the property & construction sector for the last 1 - 2 years in a H&S capacity.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
