Health & Safety / CDM Consultant

Carriera is excited to partner with one of the nation’s leading property & construction consultancies. Currently recruiting for an experienced CDM Consultant / H&S Advisor to assist on projects around the West Midlands.

About the role

Our client established over 75 years ago, are one of the largest consultancies in the UK. Now operating from 13 office locations in the UK, with circa 800 employees, they are looking to develop their Birmingham office with a proficient CDM consultant / H&S Advisor.

Working on large scale projects all over the country, you will be hands on, assisting a well-respected team of senior designers, on vast projects with budgets of millions. Working with respected brands and household names, previous clients include Rolls Royce, Boeing, Oxford University, National Gallery. Our client has an amazing reputation and boasts repeat business with major companies.

You will assist designers and clients with their duties under CDM regulations, working alongside building surveyors and project managers whilst obtaining and distributing clear visual Pre-construction H&S information.

This is an excellent opportunity for a H&S / CDM professional to join a respected consultancy which is going through a period of growth. This role will help develop your knowledge on a variety of projects across the built environment whilst improving your client facing skills. Our client would be interested in speaking with people who are familiar with working in a consultancy or principal contractor setting.

Duties

• Providing advice and helping the client fulfil their CDM duties
• Preparing and submitting F10s
• Design risk management and liaison with design teams to identify key hazards
• Identification and collation of preconstruction information
• Preparation of health and safety files
• Assessment and preparation of construction phase health and safety plans
• Site health and safety inspections
• Preparation of method statements and risk assessments

Required:

• General Health & Safety Compliance
• Excellent working knowledge of 2015 CDM regulations
• Full UK Driver’s License
• NEBOSH Construction or equivalent
• Previous experience in a similar role as a CDM Consultant / Principal Designer
