Location: Colchester office - Projects across Essex and London

Salary: Up to £38,000 + discretionary bonus scheme + benefits package

Carriera is excited to be working with an independent health & safety consultancy who operate within the property & construction sector, our client has been established for several years and covers a portfolio of projects across Essex and London.

The business has grown significantly over the last 12 months and are now in the position to hire an experienced health & safety advisor to join the team based from there offices in Colchester, Essex (flexible working is promoted with 3 days in the office/ site and 2 from home).

The successful candidate will oversee a diverse range of projects in the residential, education, commercial, office, industrial, manufacturing, warehouse and utilities sectors. Our client is looking for a well-rounded safety professional with experience across multiple sectors to join the business and become a valued member of the team.

Duties:

• Offer a variety of health & safety services to a diverse client base across the construction sectors.
• Provide a CDM advisor service to clients including management of the H&S file, review construction phase plans, maintain pre-construction information.
• Ensure all RAMS are in place on projects.
• Accident investigations when required.
• Carryout site safety inspections and site safety audits.
• Develop new and existing client relationships.

Requirements:

• Relevant H&S Diploma, NVQ or Degree. May consider candidates with a certificate/ qualification currently working towards one of these qualifications with relevant on site experience.
• A minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Health and Safety Advisor.
• A member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH - Tech/Grad and CMIOSH or working toward).
• Strong understanding and up to date knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation
• Valid UK driving license.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
