Summary 

Carriera are recruiting on behalf of a local authority in order to secure them a freelance Building Surveyor. The portfolio is large and varied, and spans prominent boroughs predominantly based in South West London. The position will be long term, but on a freelance basis, and does have scope to become permanent. 

About the position

This opportunity offers a wide range of variety; assets include residential units, leisure facilities and commercial blocks. You will be working in a team of Building Surveyors carrying out planned maintenance and refurbishment works across the portfolio.

You will be expected to undertake the following:

• Run projects from inception to completion (£100k-£2m).
• Prepare tender documents. 
• Deal with contract management and have good knowledge of building regulations.

About you

You will be degree educated in either Building Surveying or Project Management, and be a member of RICS.  You should have residential and commercial experience and be used to working independently to a high level of service.

• Up to £34 per hour (based on a 36hour working week)
