Carriera is excited to partner with an independent fire safety consultancy who operate across the UK, they are currently recruiting for an experienced and competent Fire Safety Consultant to join the team overseeing projects across the West Midlands and intro the North West of England. This role would be based from home with expectations that the Fire Consultant manage their own diary and clients expectations.

The business is heavily involved in projects across the built environment with well established relationships with clients in the commercial, residential and healthcare sectors - 35 of their clients are a mixture of hospital trusts or healthcare providers (our client would be very interested in speaking with fire safety professionals with a background or experience of delivering fire safety services in this sector).

This role would suit a client facing consultant who is looking to take the next step in their career and join a well-respected practice which is going through an exciting period of growth.

They require someone who is capable of the following;

• Conduct fire risk assessments, compartmentation surveys, fire door surveys on a variety of properties and real estate.
• Maintain fire risk assessor competency requirements through systems training and updates of legislation.
• Fire safety inspections and external wall monitoring during the construction phase.
• Offer fire safety consultancy service to clients and stakeholders.
• Keep up to date with the latest changes in regards to fire safety guidelines, fire safety legislation and building regulations.
• Work alongside a team of fire engineers, fire safety consultants, fire risk assessors, and other members of staff.
• Liaise with principal contractors and clients to influence fire safety.
• Oversee all aspects of fire safety for their portfolio of projects.
• Lead and manage projects in a proactive and diligent manner.
• Develop new and existing business relationships. 

About you

• Recognised fire safety qualification e.g NEBOSH, FPA etc.
• CFPA Europe Diploma or Level 4 Diploma in Fire Safety (desirable).
• Membership of IFE/ IFSM or capable of working towards this.
• Excellent knowledge of UK fire safety legislation.
• Knowledge of Building Safety and Fire Safety Acts.
• Good understanding of building regulations and Approved Document B, BS 9999, BS 9991, BS9997, PAS 9980 and PAS 79
• Experience of conducting fire risk assessments across the built environment.
