Carriera is excited to partner with an independent forward thinking CDM/ Principal Designer practice who operate across the UK. Our client is going through an exciting period of growth and is currently recruiting for a Design Manager to join the team and offer CDM/ PD services to their clients on a regional and national basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious design professional to join the business during a pivotal time in their growth. You will work closely with one of the Associate Directors in delivering the Principal Designer service to clients across the built environment. The team will offer further support to help you develop your knowledge and understanding of CDM/ H&S legislation. The business is involved in a diverse range of projects across the construction sector working on projects up to the value of £300m.

About the role

• Provide a Principal Designer service to clients.
• Offer H&S/ CDM consultancy service to clients and ensure clients are fully compliant with 2015 CDM Regulations.
• Ensure all associated CDM documentation is up to date e.g CPP's, PCI's, H&S File etc.
• Attend design team and client meetings and offer advice on risk at pre construction stage.
• Develop new and existing client relationships across region.

Requirements

• Design related degree or time served experience in a design role e.g design manager, architect etc.
• Professional membership to IOSH, APS, or RIBA (desirable).
• Knowledge of 2015 CDM Regulations.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
