Chartered Building Surveyor

Carriera has been retained to secure a senior building surveyor for the property department of a family office.

The role will be based between Central London and Kent, managing the enhancement and maintenance of a residential and rural portfolio.

You will join a well-established, long serving team, that employs building surveyors, architects, interior designers, engineers, trades and support staff. Where you will work in an autonomous manner, controlling your own workload and reporting to the head of department on progress.

The portfolio comprises grade 1 and 2 listed properties. You will be responsible for the maintenance, refurbishment and development of the portfolio. This will include major refurbishments and enhancement of properties in Belgravia, agriculture to residential developments in Kent and could include projects throughout the UK and in Europe.

We are looking to secure a proactive building surveyor, who is professional, personable, efficient, fun and enjoys a project focused role.

Duties will include and are not limited to:

• Defect diagnosis
• Specifying works
• Tendering contracts
• Managing contractors
• Carrying out schedules of condition and putting together cyclical maintenance programmes.

You will have building surveying diploma or higher and ideally be chartered with the RICS or IOB.
