Chartered Building Surveyor

Carriera is currently seeking a Chartered Building Surveyor to their terrific client based in Leicester.

This dynamic firm specializes in offering property and construction advisory services to a diverse clientele, including investors, occupiers, trusts, universities, public sector organizations, and more.

The Building Surveying department is a multifaceted unit, providing a range of project and professional services. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in the realm of generalist building surveying. As a Chartered Building Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in the Building Surveying service line, engaging directly with clients, overseeing a small team, and contributing to the growth of the business.

Your responsibilities will encompass acting as a project manager or contract administrator for refurbishment projects, varying in scale from small to large, with values up to £2 million. You will also be called upon to execute professional services as required.

The ideal candidate for this role should be a Chartered Building Surveyor with MRICS accreditation, showcasing a breadth of experience and a business-oriented mindset. You should possess a proactive approach to identifying and seizing opportunities, as well as a strong technical foundation, commercial acumen, and effective communication skills. Given the collaborative nature of the team, being a team player is essential, and you should be comfortable with taking on responsibility and working autonomously when the situation demands it.
