Carriera has partnered with an independent H&S/ CDM consultancy who have recently established an office in Central London. The business has ambitious growth plans for their new office and are recruiting for an experienced CDM/ PD professional to join the team working on a diverse portfolio of projects across the region.

Our client is looking for a dynamic forward thinking CDM professional who is looking to join a well-respected consultancy with a wide range of high-profile projects and clients across the South East. They currently oversee projects in the residential (high end), commercial, industrial, new build, high rise blocks, retail, leisure, hotel, education, heritage and healthcare sectors.

This role would suit someone from a consultancy background who has an excellent understanding of the CDM regulations and carrying out the role of Principal Designer. You will receive full support, training and guidance from the Director to ensure that you succeed in the role and with the business.

About the role

• Provide a CDM/ Principal Designer service to clients.
• Offer H&S/ CDM consultancy service to clients and ensure clients are fully compliant with 2015 CDM Regulations.
• Manage the design risk register.
• Ensure that RAMS are in place on projects and updated on a regular basis.
• Collate pre-construction information packs.
• Manage the H&S file.
• Ensure construction phase plans are in place.
• Attend design team and client meetings and offer advice on risk.

Requirements

• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (desirable but not essential).
• NEBOSH Construction (essential).
• Degree educated in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building Surveying, Architecture or similar discipline would be highly valuable.
• Professional membership to IOSH, APS, or RIBA (desirable).
• Good knowledge of the Building Safety Act and how this will affect clients.
• Excellent technical understanding and hands on experience of 2015 CDM Regulations.
• Previous experience in a Principal Designer role.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
