Role: CDM Consultant / Principal Designer                    
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (DOE)
Location: Leicestershire

Carriera are looking for experienced CDM consultants / Principal Designers who want to further develop their career within a team of experienced health and safety professionals, focusing on construction design management.

About The Role

We are working with one of the nation’s leading construction consultancies who have solidified themselves as a well-established & well respected business in the industry, they are looking to appoint a new CDM and H&S Consultant to join their ever-growing team in their vibrant Leicestershire office.

Our client is an independent engineering and surveying consultancy, established in 1985 they are a rapidly growing, reputable consultancy with 3 office locations across the UK. They have a broad client base across multiple sectors, with projects ranging from residential properties through to vast commercial developments.

Your key duties will include:

• Providing advice and helping the client fulfil their CDM duties
• Preparing and submitting F10s
• Design risk management and liaison with design teams to identify key hazards
• Identification and collation of preconstruction information
• Liaison with the construction team to ensure that there is an ongoing exchange of health and safety information
• Preparation of health and safety files
• Assessment and preparation of construction phase health and safety plans
• Site health and safety inspections
• Preparation of method statements and risk assessments
• Assisting with asbestos surveys

Required:

• Degree Qualified (Desirable)
• 1-3 Years’ experience within construction as a CDM consultant / Principal Designer
• Full UK Driver’s License
• NEBOSH Construction or equivalent
• Excellent working knowledge of 2015 CDM Regulations
• General Health & Safety Compliance
