Role: CDM/ H&S Advisor

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 + Excellent benefits package

Carriera has partnered with an independent multi-disciplinary property & construction consultancy that operates on a national and international level. The business has been operating for over 30 years and offers a range of professional services to their clients across the built environment including project management, building surveying, cost management and H&S/ CDM.

Their portfolio of projects is vast with schemes in the commercial, education, healthcare, residential, industrial, hotel, leisure, heritage, retail and utilities sector.

They are recruiting for a newly qualified Health and Safety professional with 1-2 year’s experience who is looking to take the next step in their career and join a well-respected organisation, who are currently is going through an exciting period of growth. This role will be predominantly desk based, meaning you can be based in the Birmingham office in order to cover work across the midlands area.

Responsibilities

• Deal with a full range of health and safety service instructions on a variety of commercial properties, including offices, residential, retail and industrial.
• Deliver Health and safety service projects to job manager level competency as Principal Designer, CDM Advisor and Advisor to the Principal Designer
• Undertake Construction Site Safety Inspections periodically.
• Assist with service business development.
• Adherence to and provide advice on general Health & Safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively with contractors, designers and clients providing risk analysis of design plans.

Your Profile

• 1-2 years experience in CDM related role such as Principal Designer or CDM advisor
• Enthusiastic, driven, and keen to progress professionally alongside the team
• Knowledge of working on commercial construction projects and within building services
• A thorough knowledge of the CDM2015 Regulations and its delivery
• IOSH, RICS, RIBA, CIOB, APS accreditation or desire to undertake in the future
• Full UK Driving license and flexible to travel as required
