Our client owns a large estate in North Oxfordshire, they have a number of different buildings on the estate from accommodation, offices, workshops, storage and leisure facilities. Some of these properties are listed and require consents for maintenance and development. There is also a large development strategy that will bring in multiple new buildings for management and maintenance.
There is a small, highly experienced property team, dealing with the management, maintenance, development and leasing of the portfolio. The building surveyor will play a pivotal role, working closely with the asset and facilities managers, engaging with tenants and dealing with the overall maintenance and enhancement strategy.
You will have a degree or masters in building surveying and will be ideally chartered with the RICS. It is expected that you will have a solid grounding in the profession where you have dealt with both project and professional duties. You will have a good eye detail, particularly when looking at building pathology and building fabric failure. In projects you will be used to managing projects in excess of £500k and managing professional teams in the design and project delivery.
