Role: Assistant Health & Safety Advisor

Location: Winchester office (projects the South of England)

Sector: Property & Construction 

Salary: In the region of £30,000 - £40,000 + travel/ car allowance + industry leading benefits package 

Carriera is excited to partner with one of the UK's leading property & construction consultancies, the business boasts a headcount of 900+ property and construction professionals and has been established for over 70 years with 13 offices throughout the country offering building surveying, project management, engineering, cost management and H&S/ CDM services.

Our client is involved in a diverse mix of projects across built environment - typical sectors that they work within include residential, commercial, defence, education, healthcare, pharmaceutical, sport, hotel, leisure, transport, retail, manufacturing, technology, data centres and heritage.

The business is recruiting for an Assistant Health & Safety Advisor to join the team out of their offices in Winchester (this would be a hybrid role with expectations that you are in the office 1 - 2 days a week) the projects are scattered across the South of England and the successful candidate will be expected to travel to projects in the region.

Responsibilities: 

• Offer a variety of health & safety services to a diverse client base.
• Manage the H&S file.
• Maintain pre construction information. 
• Attend design team and client meetings.
• Provide a CDM Advisor service to clients and advise on 2015 CDM Regulations.
• Carryout site safety inspections and site safety audits.
• Develop new and existing client relationships.

Requirements:

• NEBOSH Construction or NEBOSH General.
• Professional membership to IOSH (desirable)
• Experience working in a construction setting (desirable but not essential).
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
