A fantastic opportunity has been created for a Director to join a fast-growing planning consultancy to lead and drive growth in their transport division in Manchester.

About the client; 

The client is currently made up of over a hundred staff across three offices in the UK. As a business their service offering covers planning, EIA, design, townscape, transport and sustainable development. Their work culture is fantastic – after our client meeting, I can honestly say I’ve not known a more relaxed and friendly consultancy. Their London offices have been set up very similar to a tech business where the aim is to enhance open plan working which allows more colleague interaction.

The Manchester office currently offers strategic and urban planning however they are looking to expand into transport planning with the right hire. As a Director you will be tasked with securing and to successfully execute profitable planning projects in line with the business plan. Alongside this main aim you will lead business development, delivery of projects, compliance, finance (p/l), building a team around you and developing said hires.

About you;

You will have a degree/diploma in transport planning (geography or civil engineering ideally) and be a member of a professional body i.e. CIHT. Alongside this you will need to have good knowledge of industry standard transport related Government and Regional policy documents such as NPPG, NPPF. Also essential is having a god knowledge of DfT standards and strong knowledge of Developer Contributions and Highways Agreements such as S106, S278, S38, S184, etc.
